The Tiananmen Square Story
Why don't you ask the kids at Tiananmen Square
Was fashion the reason that they were there?
They disguise it, Hypnotize it
Television made you buy it
System of a Down - "Hypnotize"
The sad and tragic story of the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989 that happened in China.

Ahhh... The Children of Today :S (Part 2)
Second thing that happenned the very next day was that our cousin had came to visit us. And there was our truly adorable niece with him.
She's almost a year old.
My elder brother and me are usually very busy with our respective routines. So we were seeing her after a good while.
So, the way you give affections to kids... we were sweetly talking to her, holding her hand, coochiee coochie-ing her cheek :D
but what was surprising that she was utterly revolted when my elder brother tried being nice to her.
She's shout, cry, jerk his hand away... ANYTHING but associate with my brother's affection.
Let me add onething, my elder brother is a very religious person with a full beard and everything ( you can imagine ;) )
Now check this out.. what her parents told us to explain what was happening...
Our dear little niece was offended with beards. She wouldn't be talk to, look at, or be held by anyone with a beard .
Of everything that's happening in the world; Of all the wrong image of the muslims that has been conveyed by the exteremists.
Tell me, oh, tell me?
How can a child who is bearly one year old be affected by the propoganda?
hehe.. Just Kidding but think about it.
That was the most unique thing i've heard and yet so relevent to the current situation of the world...
I'll say again...
Ahh... The Childrens of Today :D

Ahhh... The Children of Today :S (Part 1)
It's really amazing to see the intellectual level of some kids nowadays...
They really leave you at a loss of words with their insight at times or the sheer amount of innocence with which they conceive the problems of grownup.
Either way, it's too cute.
Two really very hilarious events happened in the past day both involving very cute kids.
I'd like to share em with you.
Two days ago, we had guest at our place from Islamabad. I was at the gym when they came and when i returned home after a hour or so. I was surprised to see a lot of unfamiliar faces. Once i was done with the formal introductions with the elders. I noticed this very cute little girl standing at the side.
I'd like to add, that at that time, i wasn't in a very guest-friendly appearance. Was looking intimidating and was eating Chalia (betel nut).
So, i put on my nicest of nice face and smiled at her and put my hand forward to shake hands with that little angel.
Guess what was her response?
She flatly refuse to shake my hand and was like " Mein Gandey Bachon Sey Baat Naahi Karti " (I don't talk to bad boys)
LOL
If you can be shocked, amused and baffled in one expression... i was that at that moment.
I was laughing yet had been smacked on my face.
Anyways, She helped my condition by explaining her actions, "Doctor Kehtey hain Chalia khaana gandi baat hotti hai " (The Doctor say it's a bad habit to eat Betel Nut)
:D
All I had to respond to her was... "Ainda sey naahi khaunga mein, Theek hai? "( I won't eat from now on, okay? )
And Thankfully, she approved me! hehe
Well... Who'd ever expect a kid of merely 3-4 years to smack your head of your neck like that huh? :D

Random Thoughts
Well... I look back and can't help but be overwhelmed by how my life has been!
Of the most elaborate of plans that i had laid down for myself, i had never imagined that it will all play out like this.
I wanted to sour even before i could walk.
Was a good intention but life has different ways.
It leads you to the cliff, pushes you off the edge and then tells you that you can't fly.
Well... i don't really mind taking the plunge because if you're not ready to fall, you're not really living !
but once in a while, there comes a time when you'll fall really hard and break into pieces.
No matter how much of a veteran you are, you know deep inside you that you can't always make it on your own.
And that's when you need a helping hand...
so you can gather yourself properly and move on
There's nothing wrong with it... Most of us can do most of the things on our own!
but what's the fun, tell me?
Life's happiness is in working together, achieving together and living together!
We can go for the material shit... we can have everything but it all amounts to nothing when you are hollow inside.
Sadly, a lesson that people tend to learn when it's too late and the damage has been done.
And they are left alone BUT with everything ( ironically so eh? )
So, life's happiness is a mutual thing.
You give and take.
When you lend your helping hand in your good times,
and when you're going through your rough times,
you'll find that essential support that you so dearly need.
Goodness may be exploited in this world of today but it's an asset.
One that should be exercised with great care but openly when done so
Don't let the world take you down... Don't let them take away your goodness !
You live and survive through the goodness... or you are an empty soul
Happy living :)

A Sense of a Goose
Next fall, when see geese heading south for the winter, flying alone in "V" formation, you might consider what science has discovered as to why they fly that way. As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in "V" formation, the whole flock adds at least 71 percent greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.
People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going more quickly and easily, because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.
When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone- and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front.
If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation with those people who are headed the same way we are.
When the head goose gets tired, it rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point.
It is sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs, whether with people or with geese flying south.
Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
What message do we give when we honk from behind?
Finally--and this is important-- when a goose gets sick or is wounded by gunshot, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or until it dies; and only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation to catch up with their group.
If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other like that.

Simple Plan - "Perfect"
A song which is really very close to my heart.
It makes complete sense with the scenario one usually grows up in.
You try your best fulfill the expectations of your parents but it's never enough. You find it a never end cycle. The more you do, the more they expect.
Where this is so extremely frustrating for the child, it shows how much the parents truly care for us. They want the best for us. Our achievements are giving them no real benefits. What we are doing, we're doing for ourselves - to build our own lives.
This song is for the times, when the cycle starts getting to you and you want a break. To sit back and tell them... I try my best but I'm human. I fall down too. I sometimes need my time and space too. You must understand I'm not perfect. Please understand me and just help me to stand back up again and I won't ever stop trying.
Where you care so much for someone... you should also understand what they want.
Because as you see... love without understanding is a pain.
So here's one to love with understanding :)
"Perfect" by Simple Plan
Hey dad look at me
Think back and talk to me
Did I grow up according to plan?
Do you think I'm wasting my time doing things I wanna do?
'Cuz it hurts when you disapprove all doing
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't pretend that
I'm alright
And you can't change me
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
I try not to think
About the pain I feel inside
Did you know you used to be my hero?
All the days you spend with me
Now seem so far away
And it feels like you don't care anymore
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't stand another fight
And nothing's alright
Nothing's gonna change the things that you said
Nothing's gonna make this right again
Please don't turn your back
I can't believe it's hard
Just to talk to you
'Cuz you don't understand
